Eighteen Months of Networking

Spring has finally arrived in Sardinia and I’d love to be able to tell you that we’ve been doing nothing bar lounging around on the beach, soaking up the sun and drinking cappuccinos in a waterside bar. But that would be a long way from the truth.

Since finishing the book, it’s still been go-go-go. Back in March, Mario did a consultation with an American business consultant looking for projects in Italy and this week, he and his wife flew to Sardinia to meet us in person. We were only meant to meet up for dinner once but the five hours in the restaurant flew by and we still talking about joint business ventures at 1am.

But we still hadn’t said all we wanted to say so we met up again the next night to continue our discussions and what was meant to be a quick appuntamento for aperitives turned into yet another dinner where we chatted into the early hours.

The couple believes you only see the results of networking eighteen months down the line so who knows what will happen by October 2007?
